Vocational programs help young adults in Uganda’s refugee settlements learn practical skills, earn income, serve their families, and prepare to rebuild South Sudan with dignity.
Many young adults in the settlements have survived war, displacement, and years of waiting. School gives a foundation. Vocational training gives a way to work, provide, and rebuild.
Our partners teach practical trades and technology skills that can be used immediately in local communities: sewing, hairdressing, catering, agriculture, carpentry, construction, mechanics, driving, electronics, solar repair, media, and digital learning.
Training is one of the strongest levers for change.
It helps young people earn income, support children, serve neighbors, and regain a sense of calling.
CDH Stephanus works with trusted local partners who know the communities, run the training sites, and keep the focus on practical dignity. Each program combines skill-building with character formation and hope.
The work is rooted in Christian compassion and open to everyone who wants to see displaced young people grow into builders of peace.
Practical programs are led with Mission Foundation Project 25. Technology programs are supported through Creative Innovation Center.
